On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the custom is to go to a lake, river or sea, and recite the Tashlich prayers. Tashlich comes from the Hebrew word meaning “to cast.” We symbolically cast our sins into the water and leave our old shortcomings behind us, thus starting the new year with a clean slate.
Tashlich location: Clarence Bridge, Regent’s Park.
Start time: 5:00 pm
Either meet at 4:30 pm at the Shul‘s Hallam Street entrance to walk together or directly at Clarence Bridge.
Tea will be served at the Lerers’ home afterwards.
