Central Synagogue is delighted to welcome back RABBI ANDREW SHAW as our Scholar in Residence on Shabbat 25th/26th January 2019
FRIDAY 25th JANUARY

“The story of 50 days /60 days/ 70 days – they all started tonight!” and sushi and schnapps kiddush

Sermon: “The never ending love story”

Rabbi Shaw is the Chief Executive of Mizrachi UK having previously been the Director of Living and Learning and US Futures for the United Synagogue. He also was the Community Rabbi of Stanmore United Synagogue for 15 years and was the founder of Tribe.
He was education director of UJS in 1995 where he spearheaded the 50 days for 50 years’ project for 5000 students which grew into the 60 days and 70 days Holocaust initiatives and the 60 days for 60 years Israel programme – all programmes went global with over 350,000 Jews participating in the three projects.
