Foundation Stones Virtual Workshop – 4th March

Join a Foundation Stones Zoom workshop on Thursday 4 March at 5pm.

The Central Synagogue Foundation Stones family workshop will be run by Big Ideas as part of the Foundation Stones project. This session is suitable for ages 8 and up, as it covers sensitive topics.

You are invited to paint and share a Foundation Stone live on Zoom in remembrance of the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust and all other victims of Nazi persecution. You can also choose to dedicate your stone to those murdered in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Your Foundation Stones will become part of the new UK Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in London when it is built. Each stone is a commitment to remember the past and to build a future free from all forms of hatred.

To take part in the session you will need:

• A small stone which fits in the palm of your hand.

• Some decorating materials, this could be paint, pens, collage materials, even nail varnish! – whatever you have to hand at home.
