Rabbi Marcus – Behar

This week’s sedra is called Behar which refer’s to Mount Sini. The sedra sets out the Jewish approach to our relationship with Earth. It conveys to us that the earth does not belong to us and we should therefore treat it with respect. The sedra also outlines the laws of Shmita.
