Mitzvah Day – 15th November

This Mitzvah Day can you spread some happiness?

Options for all ages

1 . Bring a smile to Jewish Care Residents

The Covid-19 crisis has meant that the full entertainment programming that residents have always been able to enjoy has been significantly reduced.

Residents have asked if individuals and families,  could send in short videos that they can watch and enjoy, or send in cards*, letters, poems and drawings.

Children’s contributions are highly sought after too!

* Card kits available.

Or if you know how to knit/crochet…

2 . Make Twiddle Muffs to Help People with Dementia

Twiddle muffs are a knitted or crocheted band with items attached that patients living with the advanced stages of dementia can twiddle in their hands during their hospital stay.

(Patterns available)

Join together on Zoom at 5:00 pm on Sunday 15 November to share ideas and for a Central Synagogue group screenshot photo for the Press!

Join us for a paper quilling / pressed flower card-making tutorial the night before, Saturday 14 November at 6:00 pm.

Please contact Raquel for further information.

We can help with sourcing  other materials if necessary.
