A Synagogue is a place not only for praying but importantly also for meeting people and getting a sense of community.
That is exactly what took place on Sunday at “Ze’ev’s Place”.
On the first Sunday of every month, Ze’ev Galibov is hosting a friendship club where people can come together to meet, eat and watch great DVDs of music, comedy or opera.
[nggallery id=19]Our first gathering took place yesterday afternoon and the DVD shown was “The Court Jester” starring Danny Kaye and Angela Lansbury. Please see Michael Fishberg’s brilliant talk that he delivered before the screening to hear more about the film.
As with any Jewish gathering, the catering was superb with great savouries and pastries.
The next screening will take place on Sunday 3rd February with an opera screening to be confirmed.
