A Study of Yiddish Literature (in English)

with Historian and Yiddishist, Dr William Pimlott

Tuesdays 18:30 – 19:30 starting 7th February

Course cost £20

This fascinating 4 week course will include examining short stories and poems by the Yiddish “klasiker” alongside Soviet Yiddish literature and works by prominent Yiddish women writers.

 

It will involve discussion on a small selection of readings and will explore how Yiddish texts engaged with Jewish tradition and helped inspire historical transformations that helped shape modern Jewish Life.
