The Power Half Hour series presents: The Kashrut of Bread, Cheese and Milk with Rabbi Lerer
Rabbi Marcus – Vayera
This week’s Torah reading is the second of three sidrot that inform us of the life and experiences of our forefather Avraham. Despite his obvious discomfort due to having dutifully performed the Mitzva of Brit-milah, Avraham nevertheless invites three strangers into his home and extends hospitality to them. We learn from Avraham the importance of the mitzva of “HACHNASAT ORCHIM” – hospitality and welcoming visitors.
