Photos from the AJEX 85th Annual Ceremony & Parade

For the second consecutive year, Central Synagogue was represented at the AJEX 85th Annual Ceremony & Parade at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

The weather was kind, the marching to the bands of the Household Division and an excellent turnout representing all parts of the UK Jewish community and overseas communities such as Israel and Gibraltar, made for an invigorating and meaningful afternoon.

My personal highlight was the Band of the Scots Guards playing Adon Olam with the JLGB band also supplying military and traditional army music as well as Israeli music during the ceremony.

Kol hakavod to all those who participated and supported the event from Central and elsewhere, both marchers and spectators amongst whom were many families and children.

A great Mitzvah for Mitzvah Day.
