Full House at Central Synagogue Quiz

In excess of 110 attendees packed the Wolfson Hall at Central Synagogue on Sunday evening, 19th March for its annual Central Synagogue supper quiz, the first one in person since the end of the COVID epidemic.

The evening was lively and enthralling, thanks overwhelmingly to the energetic and humorous quizmasters Benjamin Till and Nathan Taylor whose creative and novel approach entertained the audience, with numerous screenshots and other innovations, including Nathan (an accomplished singer) singing tunes from well known musicals as a question.

Questions such as “What City in England has a name beginning with the letter “H”? “and “In which US City is Coca Cola based “ kept people on their toes.

Rebbetzen Naomi Lerer skilfully sold raffle tickets with some mouth watering prizes and Women’s Officer Roz Laren chaired the evening with aplomb.

Rabbi Barry Lerer, Rabbi of Central Synagogue said “What a wonderful and successful evening, and we all learnt so much including me”.

Mervyn Druian, chairman of Central added “Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves and this was a tremendous advertisement for the shul highlighting its warmth and community spirit”.
