This week’s sedra, Va’era, which means, ‘And he appeared’ deals with the negotiations between Moses, Aaron and Pharoah to free the Children of Israel.  With Pharoah’s reluctance to listen to Moses and Aaron, the well known plagues strike Egypt, with this sedra mentioning the first seven.
