My involvement with Central Synagogue began some 35 years ago. It was a welcoming Shul then with a wonderful Rabbi Cyril Shine, and a great Chazan Simon Hass, and still remains a warm and welcoming Shul today, led by Rabbi Barry Marcus and Chazan Steven Leas.

I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Management for 25 years, and during that period was Security Officer for 7 years. I have been a representative on the Council of the United synagogue for 14 years, and a Deputy on the Board of Deputies for 2 years.

My wife Adrienne and I have seen both our son David and daughter Mylene married in our beautiful Shul, and our son and 2 eldest grandsons have been Barmitzvah there.

It is an honour and privilege to serve as Chairman of this great Synagogue which has meant so much to me, and I look forward to serving with my fellow Honorary Officers in continuing to make our Shul a vibrant and welcoming centre for our community.
