Rabbi Marcus – Yitro

This week’s sedra Yitro is named after Moshe’s father-in-law who advises Moshe to appoint a hierarchy of magistrates and judges to assist him in administering justice to the people.  Central to the sedra is the reading of the 10 statements, commonly referred to as the 10 commandments which form the cornerstone of Jewish life.
