Rabbi Marcus MBE – Shemini

Our Sidra today, consists of three chapters dealing with three different matters. In the first, Chapter 9, we read of the initiation of Aaron and his sons into the priesthood.  Chapter 10 records the tragic death of NADAV and AVIHU two of Aaron’s sons who were struck down due to their inappropriate behavior.  In the third Chapter we are introduced to the laws of purity and holiness.
