Rabbi Marcus – Chayei Sarah

Chayei Sarah means ‘the life of Sarah’, however, strangely, in this weeks’ sidra we actually read about Sarah’s passing and the acquisition of her burial plot.  Having lost his life partner, Avraham turns his attention to his son, Yitzchak, and tasks his servant Eliezer with finding a suitable bride to secure his son’s future.
