Photographs from Connect: Russia House

Over one hundred people gathered together at the BDO Offices on Baker Street for an evening of learning and debate last night, 20 October.

The three breakout sessions were offered by; our own Rabbi Barry Marcus MBE who explored stories from Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine and other former USSR countries in his talk entitled From Russia with Love; David Frei discussed Jewish status:Tracing our Jewish heritage; and Rabbi Aubrey Hersch looked at the subject: Jews and the 1917 Revolution.

After a light buffet supper, the main panel discussion about Putin’s Russia began. Sir Malcolm Rifkind was joined by Vladamir Ashurkov, Douglas Murray, and Gisela Stuart MP.
